I have never prided myself as a good writer. In fact, I didn't really know how to use commas until I started teaching. I still sometimes throw them in a sentence every once in a while not knowing if they should be there or not. In the past, I have never hesitated to email one of my college papers to my Dad to proofread. The process was sorta like taking a car to the chop shop. It went in has a beat up Chevy and came out as a shiney, new Porshe. The only thing the same was the color. Fortunately, I am not writing this blog to win an award or be turned into the next big Lifetime movie. I am writing it to remember and to keep my precious memories stored.
I wish I would have started this earlier, but I was so intimidated. Throughout my whole life, I've tend to imagine myself doing something and being really good at it, but the whole start up process always is my anchor. I was once asked by a local author to illustrate her childrens book. I remember being so excited and dreaming of my future as an illustrator winning the next Caldecott. The dream died after I gave the author back her story and told her I wasn't the right person for the job. You see, I just couldn't start it. I spent the whole summer with the story and couldn't think of one drawing idea. Story of my life!
So here I am starting a blog! I am so excited about it too!!!! I am so excited to share with everyone all the awesomeness that is my life. I can honestly say I LOVE my life. I can't believe I got so lucky!

First comment! You are such a great writer! And you do have a great life <3. I'm so excited you're doing this.
